  • With the cases of Covid-19 spreading like fire in the State of Assam, Gauhati High Court has declared virtual hearings from today.
  • All the judges are required to conduct virtual proceedings through their respective chambers.
  • Only the advocates and the parties-in-person, whose names appear on the cause list are allowed to enter the premises of the High Court.

With the rise in the Covid - 19 cases, the Gauhati High Court has declared virtual hearings from today. With the cases of Covid-19 spreading like fire in the State of Assam, it was noted to conduct virtual proceedings to ensure prevention in the court premises. All the judges are required to conduct virtual proceedings through their respective chambers. Persons should wear marks and maintain social distancing within the premises of the High Court at all times. Advocates, litigants, members of security or staff, etc who have taken both doses of the Covid -19 vaccine shall be permitted to enter the premises.
