While trying to handle the huge number of forthcoming cases before it, the Madhya Pradesh High Court (MP High Court) has expanded its functioning hours by 30 minutes. Towards this end, the full court of the MP High Court altered the High Court of Madhya Pradesh Rules 2008.

Prior, the functioning hours of the Court were 10:30 AM to 4:30 PM, with 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM for the break. Later the correction, the High Court will work from 10:15 AM to 4:30 PM, with 1:30 PM to 2:15 PM for the break. These alterations were distributed in the Madhya Pradesh Official Gazette and will come into power from January 3, 2022, Monday. On November 22, 2021, the Madhya Pradesh High Court Bar Association (MPHCBA) had collectively passed a goal to build court working hours by 30 minutes that will adequately add 19 extra working days to its yearly schedule.

" The issue concerning expanding court working hours was talked about and it has been consistently settled that court working hours might be expanded by thirty minutes from 10.15 am instead of 10.30 am and from 2.15 pm instead of 2.30 pm accordingly expanding yearly working of the High Court from 210 to 229 days," the newly released order expressed.
