The Patna High Court has directed the Petitioner to make a representation before the concerned authority, which has been directed to decide the matter expeditiously, in response to a plea seeking directions on the State Government to take effective measures to curb the threat of eve teasing. A division bench of Chief Justice Sanjay Karol and Justice Sanjay Kumar issued the order. Within three months of the date of its filing, preferably, the authority shall consider and dispose of the complaint by reasoned and speaking order." Moreover, it said: While we're waiting for the petitioner to file a lawsuit, we're hoping that when he or she does it will be handled in accordance with the law and as quickly as possible. The development occurred during the hearing of a petition seeking measures to curb eve teasing in accordance with the Supreme Court's decision in Deputy Inspector General of Police & Others v. S.Samuthiram, reported in (2013) 1 SCC 598, in which a slew of directions were issued after observing that there is no uniform law in India to effectively curb eve-teasing in or within the precinct of education. In light of this, the petition also requested that a Fast-Track Women Friendly court be established in each district of the state of Bihar to expedite the prosecution of eve-teasing offenders.

On the other hand, it requested that the state government issue directives to all public places about the steps that should be taken by Eve-teasing victims, such as contact numbers for the police or a women's help centre. Furthermore, it had requested that the State coordinate with the State Women Commission, the State Human Rights Commission, and the Department of Social Welfare to open an effective Women Help Centre staffed by Para Legal Volunteers to take immediate legal action against eve-teasing perpetrators. Following a hearing on the matter, the Court issued the following order: "Within four weeks of today, petitioner shall file a representation for redress of grievances with the authority concerned."
