The Telangana High Court issued the release of the Bharatiya Janata Party State President Bandi Sanjay Kumar. Kumar was taken into custody for violating the COVID- 19 rules by conducting an illegal assembly. The Court of Telangana heard a plea to suspend the custody order which was passed by the Principal Junior Civil Judge Cum Judicial Magistrate of First Class of Karimnagar. The BJP leader Sanjay Kumar was arrested for committing several offences under the following Acts - Indian Penal Code, Disaster Management & Prevention of Damage to the Public Property. Kumar was taken into custody for the offences under Section 143 of the Indian Penal Code for unlawful assembly section 188 of Section 341 of the Indian Penal Code for wrongful restraint.
Section 3 of the Prevention of Damage to Public and Property Act - Mischief Causing Damage to Public Property. Background of the Arrest - The cops arrested Kumar for allegedly violating the Coronavirus Protocol. The counsel for the petitioner as well as the public prosecutor issued a notice in the petition. The matter will be heard again on February 07, 2022.
