The Uttarakhand High Court has urged the State government to take immediate measures to protect citizens from the pandemic's onslaught, stating that the people are fighting a big war against COVID-19.

The number of dedicated Covid hospitals has been increased from five to twelve, and the number of dedicated Covid Health Centres has been increased from twelve to sixteen, according to the State. The Court was also told that three factories produce oxygen tanks and that there was no shortage of oxygen tanks in the state. "In reality, this is a state that supplies oxygen tanks to neighboring states like Uttar Pradesh and Delhi," the Court was informed. Although oxygen was available, the Court was informed that cylinders and flow metres were in short supply. "It goes without saying that the State has a constitutional mandate and a moral obligation to save its citizens from the pandemic.

The government must provide citizens with vital information in real-time. The state should collaborate with other states, such as Telangana and Rajasthan, where software has already been developed to inform the public about critical information through Real-Time Portable The Bench then sent the State government the following instructions:

(i)To open Dedicated Covid Health Centres or Dedicated Covid Care Centres in Ramnagar as soon as possible. (ii)The Director-General of Health should ensure that private hospitals allow people to use such E-cards and that private hospitals treat people who use such E-cards with respect. (iii) The state government should work with all private hospitals, clinics, and laboratories to conduct RAT/RT-PCR/TrueNat tests. (vi) Appoint a Nodal Officer to serve as a liaison between the general public and hospitals. (vii) All District Magistrates must ensure that cases of black-market medicine/essential commodities are investigated as soon as possible. (viii) All District Magistrates to investigate ambulance overcharging for transporting dead bodies to crematoriums.

The Court issued the following orders in response to another petition: 1. The District Magistrate of Dehradun has been ordered to correct a list that contained incorrect details about oxygen availability. 2.District Magistrates to hire Asha Workers who will be able to meet the needs of the people living in the delineated areas.

On May 10, both cases will be heard again.
