All members of the India Trinamool Congress Party have written to Prime Minister Narendra Modi looking to find to remove Tushar Mehta from the post of Solicitor General of India accusing that he had met Suvendu Adhikari, BJP politician suspected of being a subject of Central Bureau Investigation and Enforcement Directorate scam case under investigation in connection with the case of Narada and Saradha Chit Fund scam case.

The letter of leaders Derek O'Brien, Sukhendu Sekhar Roy, and Mahua Moitra is that after the Attorney general of India, the solicitor general of India is the second-highest law officer in the country and advises the Indian government and their different bodies in essential legal cases such as Narada and Sarada. Such a meeting of the Learned Solicitor-General between the accused and the investigating agencies who investigate the accused is directly at odds with the statutory function of the Learned Solicitor-General of India. The leaders used several news reports and tweets in social media that asked prominent figures about Suvendu Adhikari and SGI Tushar Mehta's meeting. As written in the letter that they are therefore convinced, for the sake of the high offices of the learned Solicitor General, that such a meeting is organized to influence the result of things that matter where Suvendu Adhikari is alleged.

Now the leaders have said that they assert that the actions of the learned Solicitor General to give Suvendu Adhikari a chance of audience not only raise questions of misunderstanding, but also of credibility, and disfigure the role of the exceptionally skilled Solicitor General. "We approach you to take necessary steps to remove Sri Tushar Mehta from the position of solicitor general of India, in order to prevent any doubt within the public at large concerning the credibility and impartiality of the office of the learned solicitor general of India.
