The parliamentary Monsoon session, which started last week, is unique because it is the first full parliamentary session since the COVID rocked the country last year. PM Narendra Modi expressed optimism for a productive session of parliament on the first day of the Parliamentary Monsoon Session. Many major issues were raised in parliament last week and in this article, we have attempted to compile the responses to the situation of Judicial vacancy, women's representation in the Indian Judicial System, female reservation law, Lakshadweep, etc. tabled by the Ministry of Union Law before Loksabha. Information on women's and minority populations' representation in the justice system was also solicited. The Minister was asked if any recruitment procedure was done to complete the vaccinations in question. A total of 454 High Court judges empty against the sanctions of 1098 judges are held in all 25 high courts across the nation. The statistics also showed that women in the Indian court were poorly represented and had long been a constant problem. There are therefore just 77 female judges out of 567 serving magistrates at the high courts across the country.

The High Court of Chhattisgarh, Delhi, Gauhati, Himachal Pradesh, Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh, Meghalaya, Patna, Sikkim, and Uttarakhand have not been appointed to judicial proceedings from the year 2020. In response to MP Benny Behnan's question concerning the vacancy and lack of judges in the lower judiciary, the Law Department stated, "From time to time, the Justice Department writes to the General Registrations of All High Courts, so that the completion of vacancies in subordinate court orders for a Malik Mazhar case can be expedited." In one reply, the Ministry of Law of the Union stated that the proposal to revoke the All-India Bar Examination (AIBE) is not presented by the Bar Council of India, which is aimed at establishing a minimum standard for practice in India and access to practice laws in India by advocates with fundamental legal knowledge and analytical skills. The Central Government has also made it clear to the House that there is no proposal from the Administration of Lakshadweep for the transfer of its legal competence from the High Court of Kerala to the High Court of Karnataka.
