The Kerala High Court on Monday pulled up cops for their wrong approach and disposition towards residents while hearing a request recorded by an 8-year-old Dalit young girl who had moved toward the Court after she was openly embarrassed by a cop who allegedly blamed the minor girl for taking a cell phone.

Justice Devan Ramachandran saw a video of the whole occurrence during the consultation today following which, he communicated how shocking and upsetting the entire case was. "The visuals are exceptionally upsetting. Assuming you are the right reasoning individual, particularly in case you are a dad, it will be undeniably challenging to see this. It has moved me a great deal," he orally noticed. From the video, he noticed that the initial 2 minutes and 34 seconds comprised of the youngster crying as a female cop was seen obstructing the young lady and her dad from leaving the spot. Later a group conformed to them and individuals were seen interceding. Notwithstanding, the cop was seen holding her ground even after the telephone was recuperated from her vehicle. Such episodes, which comes from the inner self and egotism of individual officials, but the standing of the whole police power in question, the Court said.

He further thought that the entire thing might have been settled calmly assuming the official had eased off when the kid began crying and reassured her or perhaps got her chocolate. The Court likewise noticed the fact that the kid and her father belonged to an under-represented part of the society. "What sort of pink police is this? When the young girl was crying, for what reason did not one of them, or the other police present there, go to her and control centre her? For what reason would they say they are there?
