The senior advocate also contended that interim protection to prime accused Nupur Sharma has been granted by the court. Nupur Sharma dissension FORMER BJP spokesperson Nupur Sharma during the debate on Times Now on May 26 made remarks on the prophet Mohammed.
Another panellist Rehm ani who allegedly kept abusing Hindu Gods excites Nupur to make such remarks. After the debate, Alt News co-founder Mohammad Zubair dexterously shared what she said on social media, but did not specify what was the reason for her remark. He systematically campaigned against Nupur which leads to worldwide condemnation of the central government. On June 5, after an uproar, the BJP government suspended Sharma. She apologizes for the remarks but she starts getting abhorrent death and rape threats due to this, she has been provided security and presently she is staying at an unrevealed location. After Zubair shared the video of the telecast on Twitter the matter became more controversial and it took many twists and turns.
All those who favours and support Sharma received death threats ad were beaten up harshly and some of them were killed also like- Businessman Umesh Kohle from Amravati, Tailor Kanhaiya Lal from Udaipur and many more were ferociously killed by Islamists. After condemning Nupur for what happened in the nation after arguments, the supreme court did not grant her any relief initially but the court later passed interim order for no coercive action by the police against her would be taken. The relief was granted to Muhammad Zubair just a day before he was granted bail on several FIRs lodged against him for causing injury to religious sentiments.
