Samsung India is prohibited from using the registered brand "Concierge" in Bengaluru, according to an interim judgement issued by a Bengaluru court. Sikand, who claims to be the first person in India to provide concierge services, says that Samsung India misappropriated the trademark "Concierge" in different brochures, promotional materials, and ads. An interim injunction was recently issued by a Bengaluru court prohibiting Samsung India from using the registered brand "Concierge." “Issue an ex parte ad-interim injunction against the defendant No.2 restraining the defendant No.2, their agents, servants, or any persons claiming through or under them in any manner whatsoever, whether directly or indirectly, from illegally using the plaintiff No.1's mark 'CONCIERGE' until the next date of hearing,” says the ex-parte order issued by the City Civil Court in Bengaluru.

The Court said that, while there is a prima facie case against the defendants, the defendants should be heard before an ex-parte injunction order is issued. As a result, the Court issued an ad-interim injunction. On August 5, 2021, the case will be heard again. Lesconcierges Services Pvt. Ltd. is a company that provides concierge services. Club Concierge Services (India) Pvt. Ltd. and Club Concierge Services (India) Pvt. Ltd. and its creator Dipali Sikand sued Samsung India and Story Experiences Private Limited for trademark infringement on the word "Concierge," which Sikand owns and has registered. Sikand, who claims to be the first to introduce concierge services in India, claims that Samsung India, through Story Experiences Private Limited, misappropriated the trademark "Concierge" in various brochures, publicity material, advertisements, and other materials related to the President's Club, a loyalty programme for Samsung dealers and distributors. It was also claimed that defendant No. 2 (Story Experiences) was attempting to profit on the plaintiffs' goodwill and reputation.

Apart from that, the defendants were accused of diluting and degrading the plaintiffs' image. Chintan Chinnappa, a partner at Spectrum Legal, represented the plaintiffs with the help of Anandi Kamani and Vishaka Nikkam.
